The US, Canadian and Mexican market for light vehicle entertainment systems is expected to grow 6.3 percent yearly through 2008. AM/FM/cassette/CD players will decline as new technology bundles are introduced that include multimedia DVD players, satellite radio, MP3/WMA players and hard disk drive multimedia systems.

This study analyzes the US$7 billion North American automotive entertainment industry. It presents historical US demand data for 1998 and 2003 and forecasts to 2008, 2013 and 2020 by country, by system type (e.g., conventional audio, DVD, satellite radio, MP3/WMA-equipped, hard disk drive); and by OEM market and aftermarket.

The study also examines the market environment, reviews technology, presents company market share data, and profiles 26 leading industry competitors including Delphi, Pioneer, Visteon, SANYO, Kenwood, and Bosch.
