US demand for clean room consumables will grow 5.9 percent annually through 2007, driven by a recovery in semiconductors and the expansion of clean room technologies. The best prospects include hard disk drives, flat panel displays, drugs, foods and beverages. Apparel and chemicals will remain dominant while wipes and swabs lead gains.

This study analyzes the $1.2 billion US clean room consumables industry. It presents historical demand data for 1992, 1997 and 2002 and forecasts to 2007 and 2012 by product (e.g., gloves, disposable and reusable apparel, gases, cleaners and disinfectants, filters, cleaning products, sensors); and by market.

The study also examines the market environment, details industry structure and market share, and profiles 42 leading competitors including Cardinal Health, Kimberly-Clark, Ansell, Praxair, Air Liquide, BOC, Donaldson, Flanders, CLARCOR, Camfil-Farr, Texwip, and Contec.
