Freedonia Study:  World Insulation to 2014 (2707)

Quote from article
CLEVELAND (February 15, 2011) -- Global demand for insulation is growing 5 percent annually between 2009 and 2014, to reach nearly 23 billion square meters of R-1 value, according to a new market study. In developed countries, sales are expected to rebound after falling sharply in 2008 and 2009, according to “World Insulation,” a report from Cleveland-based market research firm Freedonia Group. More than 40 percent of all new global insulation demand between 2009-2014 will be in the Asia/Pacific region. Consumption in the region is predicted to increase almost 6 percent annually because of advances in process manufacturing, appliance shipments, and residential and nonresidential building construction. China alone will account for 29 percent of all new global insulation demand between 2009 and 2014.
