US demand for electronic polymer products will grow 13.3 percent annually through 2008, driven by a rebound in semiconductors and new polymer-intensive technologies. Top performers will include chip underfills, conductive adhesives, low-k dielectrics, LCP films for flex circuits, and LCP and polyethersulfone in molded interconnect devices.

This study analyzes the $2.4 billion US electronic polymer industry. It presents historical demand data for the years 1993, 1998 and 2003, and forecasts to 2008 and 2013 by resin (e.g., epoxies, polyimides, silicones, phenolics, polyurethanes, polysulfone and polyethersulfone, liquid crystal polymer, nylon, polyphenylene sulfide, polybutylene); by product (e.g., electronic laminates, packaging materials, connector molding compounds, electronic adhesives and underfill); and by end use.

The study also examines the market environment, details industry structure and market share, and profiles 36 leading competitors including Isola, DuPont, Cookson Electronics, General Electric, National Starch and Chemical, Rogers, Park Electrochemical, and Henkel Loctite.
