The US market for electronic chemicals will grow eleven percent annually through 2008 based on their role in reducing line widths and increasing circuit densities. Gains will be led by low k dielectric materials, chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) slurries, thermoplastic packaging polymers and advanced photoresists.

This study analyzes the $3.7 billion US electronic chemical industry. It presents historical demand data (1993, 1998, 2003) and forecasts to 2008 and 2013 by product (e.g., substrate and packaging polymers, gases, photoresists and adjuncts, acids and etchants, solvents, silicon, CMP slurries, plating chemicals, electronic adhesives); and by application (e.g., semiconductors, printed wiring boards, passive components).

The study also examines the market environment, reviews technology, details industry structure and market share, and profiles 53 industry competitors including Air Products, DuPont, Rohm and Haas, Praxair, Dow Corning, Air Liquide, BOC Edwards, AZ Electronic Materials, Dow Chemical, and Arch Chemicals.
