World enzyme demand will rise 6.8 percent annually to $8.0 billion in 2015. Growth will be led by enzymes used in the diagnostic, research and biotechnology, animal feed, and food and beverage markets. This study analyzes the $5.8 billion world enzyme industry. It presents historical demand data for the years 2000, 2005 and 2010, and forecasts for 2015 and 2020 by product (e.g., carbohydrases, proteases, polymerases and nucleases, lipases), market (e.g., food and beverage, cleaning products, biofuel production, animal feed, pharmaceutical, research and biotechnology), world region and for 16 major countries.

The study also considers market environment factors, details industry structure, evaluates company market share and profiles 34 industry players, including Novozymes, Danisco and Sanofi-Aventis.
