Demand for acrylic resins in the US will reach 3.7 billion pounds in 2005. Gains will be most pronounced in industrial and specialty coatings, high quality paper finishes, pressure sensitive adhesives, and polymer property modifiers. Methacrylates will continue to account for the majority of demand, while acrylates record more rapid growth.

This study analyzes the $1.9 billion US acrylic resin industry. It presents historical data for 1990, 1995 and 2000 and forecasts to 2005 and 2010 by type (e.g., butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, ethylhexyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, butyl methacrylate, lauryl methacrylate, stearyl methacrylate, isobutyl methacrylate, glycidyl methacrylate, ethyl methacrylate); and by market.

The study also examines the market environment, details industry structure and market share, includes discussions related to foreign trade and international activity, and profiles 40 key companies including Rohm and Haas, INEOS Acrylics, Celanese, Dow Chemical, CYRO Industries, and BASF.
