Demand for flooring in China will grow seven percent annually through 2008, driven by healthy gains in building construction activity and by government efforts to increase average per capita living space and privatize home ownership. Laminate flooring will grow the fastest, with carpets and rugs and wood flooring also doing well.
This study analyzes the US$13.3 billion Chinese flooring industry. It presents historical demand data for 1993, 1998 and 2003 and forecasts to 2008 and 2013 by carpet and flooring type (e.g., ceramic, wood, laminate, stone, vinyl, tufted, needle-punched); by market (e.g., new homes, residential repair and improvement, office and commercial, institutional, industrial, other nonresidential, motor vehicles); and by geographic region.
The study also examines the Chinese market environment, details industry structure and company market share, and profiles leading competitors including Haima, Guangdong Fatao, DareGlobal, Shanghai Anxin Flooring, Sichuan Shengda Wooden Products, and Guangdong New Pearl Ceramics.
