US demand for dairy packaging will grow 4.1 percent annually through 2010. Gains will be driven by trends toward smaller containers and more food eaten or prepared away from home. Best growth is expected in cultured dairy products such as drinkable yogurt and in cream. Pouches and bottles will present the best opportunities by product.

This study analyzes the $3.5 billion US dairy packaging industry. It presents historical data (1995, 2000 and 2005) and forecasts to 2010 and 2015 by dairy packaging application (e.g., milk, cheese, ice cream, yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese, cream, butter); by product (e.g., tubs and cups, bottles, cartons and boxes, bags and wraps, pouches, cans); and by material.

The study also considers market environment factors, details industry structure, evaluates company market share and profiles 42 major players including Huhtamaki, Consolidated Container, Bemis, International Paper, Berry Plastics, Alcan, and Blue Ridge Paper Products.
