US demand for patient monitoring systesm will grow 5.9 percent annually through 2012. Accessories will be the fastest growing segment, driven by blood glucose testing strips. This study analyzes the $9 billion US patient monitoring system industry. It presents historical demand data for the years 1997, 2002 and 2007, and forecasts for 2012 and 2017 by monitor type (e.g., multi-parameter, cardiac, respiratory, blood, temperature, neurological, fetal and neonatal, pulse); accessory type (e.g., blood glucose test strips, electrodes, lancets, catheters); and market (e.g., home health care, hospitals, outpatient facilities, physicians’ offices).

The study also considers market environment factors, details industry structure, evaluates company market share and profiles 27 major players, including Philips Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, GE Healthcare, Roche, Medtronic, Abbott Laboratories, Bayer, Covidien, Becton Dickenson, and Welch Allyn. It is currently only available in its entirety.
