This report forecasts US manufacturers' shipments in nominal and real (inflation-adjusted) US dollars to 2020. Total nominal shipments are segmented by product in terms of: food and beverages, chemical and allied products, petroleum and coal products, plastic and rubber products, other nondurable goods, transport equipment, metal products, electrical and electronic products, machinery, and other durable goods.

To illustrate historical trends, nominal and real total shipments and the various segments in nominal terms are provided in annual series from 2005 to 2015. A Market Environment section provides pertinent background on historical trends; key economic indicators; and trends in trade, world manufacturing activity, and environmental and regulatory factors. A Segmentation and Forecasts section defines lubricant types and markets, discusses market drivers and constraints, identifies substitute products when applicable, and assesses the impact of key drivers and constraints on each lubricant type and market segment over the forecast period.
