Processed Food: United States
This report forecasts US processed food shipments in US dollars at the manufacturers' level to 2019. Total shipments are segmented by product in terms of meat, poultry, and seafood; grains and oilseeds; dairy; bakery and related; processed fruits and vegetables; and other products such as pet food, sugar and confectionary products, and frozen specialties.
To illustrate historical trends, total shipments are provided in an annual series from 2004 to 2014; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2009 and 2014. A Market Environment section provides pertinent background on historical industry size and trends, key economic indicators, trade, food safety and regulatory factors, consumer preferences, and distribution trends. A Segmentation and Forecasts section defines products, discusses market drivers and constraints, identifies substitute products when applicable, and assesses the impact of key drivers and constraints on each product segment over the forecast period.
