Power Lawn & Garden Equipment: United States
This report forecasts to 2024 US power lawn and garden equipment demand in nominal US dollars at the manufacturer level. Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: lawn mowers; turf and grounds mowers; trimmers and edgers; garden tractors and rotary tillers; chainsaws; blowers, vacuums, and sweepers; other products such as snow blowers, compact utility tractors, and hedge trimmers; and parts and attachments. Total demand is also segmented by market as follows: residential and commercial.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2009 to 2019; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2009, 2014, and 2019.
Excluded are push reel mowers and any other non-powered equipment. Excluded from the scope of this report is machinery used in agricultural applications. Compact utility equipment (e.g., compact utility loaders and skid steers) and other related products that have a primary purpose in construction markets are also excluded. Since the vast majority of engines for power lawn and garden equipment are used in OEM capacities, engines are excluded from the scope of this report, except insofar as they contribute to the value of the equipment that they power.
Key macroeconomic indicators are also provided with quantified trends. Other various topics, including profiles of pertinent leading companies, are covered in this report. A full outline of report items by page is available in the Table of Contents.
