The US cabinet market will top $16 billion in 2010. Greater cabinet use per home and the growing popularity of special-function rooms will help offset a decline in single-family housing completions. The small nonconstruction market will lead gains, bolstered by trends toward more and higher-end amenities in recreational vehicles and boats.

This study analyzes the $14 billion US cabinet industry. It presents historical demand data for 1995, 2000 and 2005 and forecasts to 2010 and 2015 by cabinet material (e.g., lumber, engineered wood, wood veneers); cabinet product (e.g., kitchen, vanities and other bathroom , store display fixtures, home office, entertainment center, garage); market (e.g., residential, nonresidential, nonconstruction, new, repair and improvement); and region.

The study also considers market environment factors, evaluates company market share and profiles 30 major players including Masco, Fortune Brands, American Woodmark, Elkay, and Norcraft.
