Refinery Chemicals

Demand for refinery chemicals in the US will grow 5.6 percent annually through 2010. Gains will be driven by refiners& use of more chemically-intensive conversions to boost yields and higher levels of treatment to remove impurities. Hydrocracking and hydrotreating applications will grow the fastest, followed by water treatment.

This study analyzes the $2.7 billion US refinery chemical industry. It presents historical demand data for 1995, 2000 and 2005 and forecasts to 2010 and 2015 by application (e.g., conversion processes, petroleum treatment processes, water treatment), and by product (e.g., metal catalysts, zeolites, acids, hydrogen, corrosion inhibitors, pH adjusters, solvents).

The study also considers market environment factors, details industry structure, evaluates company market share and profiles 22 leading industry players including Air Products, Praxair, Grace, Albermarle, Engelhard, DuPont, Honeywell, and Nalco.
