This report forecasts US demand for, and shipments of, turbines and related products in US dollars at the manufacturers' level to 2016. Total demand is segmented in terms of turbine engines, wind, turbine generators and generator sets, gas combustion, and steam and hydraulic. Total demand is also segmented by application in terms of electric power generation, aircraft engines, and marine and other markets.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided at five-year intervals for 2001, 2006, and 2011, while the various segments are reported for 2006 and 2011. An Industry Overview section defines products and markets, discusses market drivers and constraints, identifies substitute products when applicable, and provides pertinent background on production trends, technology trends, alternative and competitive power sources, and global demand.
