This report forecasts to 2018 world oil and gas exploration and production activities in terms of crude oil production (in barrels), natural gas production (in cubic feet), producing wells (number of wells), wells drilled (number of wells), and active drilling rigs (number of rigs). Producing wells are segmented by resource in terms of oil and gas. Wells drilled are segmented by trajectory as follows: vertical and horizontal. Active drilling rigs are segmented by location in terms of onshore and offshore. World forecasts for upstream oil and gas are also segmented by major world region, which include North America, Europe, Asia/Pacific, Central and South America, and Africa/Mideast. Producing wells, wells drilled, and active drilling rigs are also forecast by type for each major world region.
To illustrate historical trends, all forecasted measures described above are provided for 2008 and 2013.
