Cleveland OH, August 5, 2024 – A new report from Freedonia Group, Global Insulation, through 2028, demand for insulation in Thailand is projected to increase 4.5% per year to $261 million. Foamed plastic will remain the most popular insulation material, accounting for 60%, supported by:

the country’s large nonresidential building, industrial, and appliance markets
Fiberglass insulation was the second most popular material; it is frequently used as a less expensive alternative to foamed plastic in building construction applications. In volume terms, mineral wool accounts for a somewhat similar share of demand as fiberglass, boosted by its frequent use in nonresidential buildings.
In 2023, demand for insulation in Thailand was $209 million, accounting for 1% of regional demand.
