Cleveland, OH, December 8, 2017 — US analytical instrument demand is forecast to total $50.2 billion in 2021, according to Analytical Instruments: United States, a report recently released by Freedonia Focus Reports. Increased research and development (R&D) funding will drive gains over the forecast period.
Demand for laboratory instruments is projected to grow the fastest of any discrete segment and remain the largest through 2021. Gains will be driven by increasing R&D funding, particularly for the purpose of developing new pharmaceuticals as older patents expire.
