Bus types include: transit buses; motor coaches; school buses; and other buses such as shuttles, limo buses, and sightseeing buses. Reported fuel types encompass: diesel, hybrid and electric, gasoline, and CNG/LNG. Major world regions include North America, Western Europe, Asia/Pacific, and all other regions.
To illustrate historical trends, world, type, fuel type, and regional demand (including type and fuel type segments) are provided for 2011, 2016, and 2021. Finally, global production is segmented by major world region and provided for 2011, 2016, 2021, and 2026.
This report excludes most buses derived from light vehicles and minibuses designed to carry eight or fewer passengers, as well as separately sold chassis. Demand figures also exclude sales of used buses.
